I've always liked drawing, ever since I was a small kid, and I have done some sketching of birds during the late 2000s. Sadly, I have been less than prolific and, since 2008/9, sketching got more-or-less abandoned in favour of photography; the main reason for this was crippling self-doubt, embarrassment and a mental block about sketching in the field. That said, I've got a bit disillusioned with photography (in particular lugging my DSLRs and long zoom about - having upper back and neck problems doesn't help) and am getting back into sketching - but that's NOT to say I am ditching the photography, far from it!
